Lisa Rosenstein has graciously agreed to let us throw a book party at her beautiful home in Tenleytown. This will also be a mini-fundraiser for DCAC, since we’re big fans. We’ll have beverages & snacks, I’ll read from YOU CAN’T GET ENOUGH OF WHAT YOU REALLY DON’T NEED, we’ll have some more beverages and snacks, and it’ll be great.

I’ll be reading, with Megan Ronan and special guests, at Comet Ping Pong (5037 Connecticut Ave., N.W.). Comet is a great place hear a band, eat some of the city’s best pizza, and yes, play some ping-pong. The fun starts at 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 13th.

If you can’t make it on Tuesday, do try to come to 410 GooDBuddy (410 Florida Ave., N.W.) on Thursday, March 15, at 7:00 p.m., to hear Joe Hall & I read new work. Joe’s latest is a collaborative book called The Container Store Vols. I & II. This will also be your first opportunity to hear the unleashed ukulele fury that is Pi hole.

New Poem in Unarmed

If you live in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, you may be lucky enough to find a copy of Unarmed at a local book or record store, since about half each issue’s print run is distributed locally by Michael Mann, the editor publisher.

Each issue includes a chapbook by a poet — in the latest issue, it’s rob mclennan’s red giant. The issue itself (#64) Robert Head, Jessie Freeman, Kinberly Lyons, Kyle Schlesinger, and dozens more, including my poem, “ex mas”.
